Terms of Service

Last updated 8 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and StudioKey. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. If you do not, please do not use StudioKey.

What StudioKey is

StudioKey is a place where recording studios list their rooms and artists book time in them. We are not the studio. The session itself is an agreement between you and the studio you booked — we provide the software that helps you find each other and arrange it.

Your account

Bookings

When you book a session, you are making a commitment to that studio, and they are making one to you. Rates, deposits, cancellation windows, and what happens if either side does not show up are set by the studio and shown on their profile before you book. Read them.

Disputes about a session — quality, timing, refunds, damage — are between you and the studio. We will help where we reasonably can, but we are not a party to that agreement and cannot decide it for you.

For studios

If you run a studio on StudioKey, you additionally agree to:

Your content

What you upload stays yours. Your recordings, posts, and photos belong to you, and nothing here transfers ownership.

You grant us only the permission we need to run the service — to store your content, and to display it to the people you have chosen to show it to. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

What is not allowed

You can report content or block another user from within the app. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we will tell you why when we can.

Availability

We work to keep StudioKey running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we are shutting the service down, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your files.

Ending things

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to by law. Sections that by nature should survive — content ownership, disclaimers, limits on liability — continue to apply afterwards.

Disclaimers and liability

StudioKey is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

We do not vet studios, and we do not guarantee the quality or safety of any session booked through the app. Use your judgement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, and disputes will be heard in the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use StudioKey after that means you accept the new terms.
